Dreadball Game Summary

So, last friday i had a game of Dreadball, after getting the Xtreme Xpansion last week. And so, two teams got ready to kick some ass and play dreadball, but were all out of dreadball...ah getting carried away. :)

The two teams were my marauders versus some human scum. We played the “The Gauntlet”-Arena from the Challenge Cup book.

More after the jump.

Setup was as shown in the pic:

The lowest hexfields in the pic are the deployment areas, the grey things (yeah, i think i will have time to paint them around christmas holidays) are crates, which explode, one of them is hiding the ball. The yellow dots are doors, where you can leave the field and throw a dice to determine which of the 6 doors they exit on the field. The goal is to find the ball in one of the crates and take it back to your subs bench. Sounds like fun. (:

First round, result pic:

The first round was won by the humans. My first try on the doors resulted in one of my jacks entereing the field in the human deployment area. The second jack was better, even finding the ball in the crate before him...but wasen't able to pick it up. Will have to talk to that one under four eyes. A human striker picked the scattered ball up an run as hell to their subs bench, winning this round.

As we played only two rushes either, we played another round.

This time my jack got lucky in getting the right door and picking up the ball from the crate, but only had enough movement to bring him one hex before the subs bench. A human striker closed in, tryed to steal the ball...and failed horribly. His dice throw was so bad, that my jack doubled his evade and used the free movement to get off the board, taking the ball with him and securing this victory.

I don't know, if we got all the rules right in this scenario but it was a really fun game. :) I think, we will play it more, and more.

Regards and stay tuned for updates.
